Upcoming Classes and Programs Susan Fekety offers a number of adult and community education programs and events each year. Check this space often to see what topic or event is coming up next and where you'll find her. Beautiful food for Zumba Goddesses! Many fabulous women (and a few fabulous, adventurous men) love the joyful movement and increased fitness they get from Zumba classesespecially once they've found Studio Fit! But sometimes, even taking classes several times a week isn't enough to get a stuck scale number to budge, or to really start seeing lean, defined muscles, or even to keep your energy level high when you're not dancing. Dieting, or just eating less, doesn't seem to make a difference that sticks, and it's tiring and restrictive. What gives? Here's the thing: "eat less, do more" might not be the recipe for finding your healthy weight and best energy level after all. In fact, it looks like the calories-alone strategy is too simplistic and, well, just WRONG, particularly for women! But scientists and sports medicine experts know how to fuel performance, build lean body mass and burn fat if you need to, and overall just help you look and feel totally fit and fabulous. It's time that information got into your hands. On Sunday September 25, join Susan as Studio

Women's Mid-Life Power Supply : From "Out There" to "In Here" Peri-menopause and the menopause transition calls for us to look with fresh eyes at the source of our personal power, moving it from "out there" to "in here." It's easy to get overwhelmed or confused with all the instructions, warnings, advice, and "rules" available about midlife. How do you keep your connection to what's right for you? What is the nature of YOUR unique path through change?
In this workshop, True North women's health practitioner, Susan Fekety, and WholeHeart Yoga Director/Owner, Pam Jackson, RYT (who has been studying and teaching yoga for 20 years), will support you to locate (or relocate) your own power supply through explorations in nourishment, movement, and breath. With foundations in the power of yoga as a steady, grounding, spiritual practice, and by investigating the connection between food patterns and our definition of nourishment, we'll spend focused time together in a quiet space experimenting with what might work best for YOU. Yoga experience is helpful, but not necessary. Wear comfortable layers which are easy to move in. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. Space is limited. Pease register early! Questions?
